progress is being made on the - get a door for the doorway - (that used to be the end of the house and at one time had a door until an entryway and a summer room was built on.)

when we went looking.. two had an idea of what to pick out. (a) pre-hung. non-wood. white. money no object.
and i had another idea. (b) justa door. wood. cheapest.
but then what do i know about it?

it turns out that later upon talking it over with hsb.. he wanted door (a)

dear Jesus, God in heaven why did i even go?

update: 10.22.05

today i and rson went to pick up the right door. external, pre-hung.. the works just as the hsb wanted it.
rson did all the talking to the menard’s guy. chased down another guy to be directed to the place where they have “finish nails”.. while i looked at and picked out the doorknob set(s).

all this while the hsb stayed home and was supposed to work on our car.. apparently he (also) worked on seeing if he could get my computer from quitting freezing up.

anyway.. as i type he’s now grunting and hammering with putting the door in place.

seems as though he’s had a busier day than rson and i did.

i went into the Kmart store the other day.. i was looking over their halloween candies and costumes..
then i happened to see in the next aisle.. already up and on display!..

a little bit early?

net site up year ’round castle christmas

update:
many stores i’ve gone into have their xmas stuff out. must be all storeowners get together and decide these things.

i guess for some people it might not seem too early..

i wonder if this means that i should get my christmas tree out and put it up as well. or better yet. use one room to put all holiday decorations in. not stored away.. but kept out to view and use on the appropriate season.
that would make things alot easier!

but then my front yard might look somewhat confusing.
