today we’d tenatively decided to go visit my side of the family. but we didnt go after all.

did the usual trash dump at the in-laws and then travel into town to get fast food.
the movie hsb wanted wasnt available.

rson had been going to the local corn school twice already. but this evening he really wanted to go and be with his buds again. so i drove him over.
it was cold. and the sun had gone down.
and he’d left me by myself.
and there’s no comfortable place to sit. and because of my physical condition i just could not sit long on what was available.

i’d forgotten about all these negatives until after i got there.

so i just wanted to go home.
but while there i walked all the way to the other end of the street length rides and food venders to get hsb a carmel apple. $2 for a smidgen of a thing!

on my way back to the rendevue.. i stepped into an open store.. just to get warmed up. but with my extra clothing i started to get too warm.

at some point i’d chanced upon being behind a teenage girl who’d dropped a small change purse.
i hesitated about what i should do.
not about giving it back.. but as to the ease of getting her attention.. in those situations you just didnt want to acknowledge anyone who called out to you. and that is what i’d have to do. not to mention yelling above the sounds of the rides and the people around.
so i yelled.

has

she joined up with another and they stopped to light up cigarettes. then went on ahead of me.
i kept on yelling. that was anoter thing. i didnt want to yell out.. “you dropped your money!”
but stupidly i didnt yell.. “you dropped something!”

i just kept yelling.. “HELLO!.. MA’AM.. HELLO!”
coulda used a bullhorn.

all the while holding the little purse out to them.

they had to of heard me because i could tell they were discussing it.. though i couldnt hear it.
then the teenage girl who hadnt dropped it turned to me saw the little purse i’d held out. she took it with a thank you.
then the other then turned to thank me.

i didnt care about that. i was just glad not to have to yell anymore.

at that time there was a group of cops that were walking toward me.
they’d heard me and came to see what was going on.

maybe if i’d kept walking away from those cops i suppose they’d of thought that i was trying to get away.
but as it was i just sat down at the nearest place. and the cops decided that nothing dangerous was going on and walked by me.

geez.

so there i was waiting for rson to come back. i planned on leaving as long as he arranged it with his friend to bring him home.
but his friend had already made other arrangements to stay and get paid to help take down the rides & stuff. and rson didnt want to stay for that.

so after rson got a hot chocolate to drink.. we soon left.

::sigh:: what a day.
